Renewal window and fines

You have 30 days from expiry to renew your Emirates ID. After that, ICP applies a late fine of AED 20 per day up to AED 1,000. Renewal usually goes hand-in-hand with your residence visa renewal.

Emirates ID renewal fees (2026)

  • Card fee: AED 100 per year of validity (AED 200 for 2 years, AED 500 for 5/10-year golden visa cards)
  • Application/typing fees: AED 40–70
  • Urgent (Fawri) service: extra AED 150 where eligible

Renewal steps

  1. Submit the ICP renewal application (we type and file it for you)
  2. Biometrics — only if ICP requests updated fingerprints/photo
  3. Pay fees and track the application
  4. Receive the card via Emirates Post or courier

Lost or damaged card?
