مستشار تأسيس أعمال مقابل التأسيس الذاتي في دبي: مقارنة صادقة للتكلفة والمخاطر

The honest answer first
If you are a solo consultant getting a simple freelance permit from a zone like RAKEZ or SHAMS, you can absolutely do it yourself — the zones' own portals are decent and you'll save the service fee. A consultant earns their fee when your case has moving parts.
When DIY works fine
- Single shareholder, one standard activity, zero or one visa
- A freelance permit in a digital-first zone
- You have time for portal accounts, document runs and follow-ups
When DIY gets expensive
- Wrong activity code: the most common DIY error — it can block your corporate bank account months later, and fixing it means paid amendments.
- Mainland (DED) formations: MOA notarisation, Ejari, external approvals and CAFEE payments across multiple portals.
- Visas for a family or staff: entry permit, change status, medical, biometrics, EID — each step has failure modes and fines for overstay between steps.
- Choosing the zone itself: zones market hard; comparing 25+ of them without seeing real client outcomes is guesswork.
What a good consultant actually charges for
Not form-filling — error prevention and time. Typical service fees range AED 1,500–5,000 depending on scope. Against a mispriced package or a rejected visa, that's cheap insurance. What matters is that the fee is fixed and itemised.
Red flags with any consultant
- Quotes that exclude medical/EID/establishment card 'to look cheap'
- Pressure to pick the zone that pays them the biggest commission
- No written renewal pricing
